Happy monday everyone
I also want to share here this writing that I shared a few days ago via my social networks.
Embrace your imperfections and stop bullying // I remember when I was a child in the many things they said to me: "chicken legs" "canillua", this provoked in me a very strong insecurity to the point that I almost never wanted to show my legs. I also remember that I started collecting magazines when I was 16, I saw the publishers full of models "canilluas" and that gave me encouragement and some security, over the years, as I matured those fears and insecurities disappeared, I understood that no one is perfect, that I should thank every day for my legs, they allowed me to mobilize and how fortunate I was to have them, how many wished at least to have one. Seeing these photos today in my camera, I went back to those moments of childhood and how free, happy I feel to have overcome all that and much more (someday I will tell you my life story), but not everyone has the luck or courage to get away from all those ghosts and thought, bullying has always existed, the difference is in the past years were innocent taunts between friends or acquaintances and rarely crossed the violence line, nowdays bulliying has been accompanied by physical, verbal and much more aggression, to the point that there are children and young people who committed suicide. I believe that as society and parents, we are responsible for making the change from home, many times we think that paying a "good school" is enough. My commitment as a mother since Abigail began to use her faculties has been to inculcate love, respect for others, the differences we all have as human beings and to preach all this by example.
If you have been victim of any kind of mockery, remember that it only has power in you, if you allow it, talk to someone.
